Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what information Schieber Research collects, how we use it and the choices available to you—including when you connect with us through Pinterest.

1. Who we are

Schieber Research, LLC ("Schieber Research," "we," "us" or "our") is a market research and strategy consultancy based in New Jersey, United States. This policy applies to researchci.com and to services and integrations operated by Schieber Research that link to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

If you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, company, message and any other information you choose to share. The website currently directs inquiries to email, telephone and LinkedIn rather than collecting them through an onsite contact form.

Website and technical information

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, including IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages and security logs. Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used for security and basic site operation. We do not currently use the Pinterest Tag or advertising cookies on researchci.com.

Pinterest information

If you authorize a Schieber Research integration through Pinterest, Pinterest may provide information covered by the permissions you approve. Depending on the features used, this may include your Pinterest account identifier, public profile information, boards, Pins, media, and related content or analytics. We also receive OAuth access tokens that allow the integration to perform the actions you authorized. We do not ask for or receive your Pinterest password.

3. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • respond to inquiries and provide requested services;
  • operate, maintain, secure and improve the website;
  • provide Pinterest functions that you authorize, such as creating, publishing, scheduling, managing or analyzing content;
  • troubleshoot integrations and prevent misuse;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We use Pinterest information only to provide the authorized integration and related support. We do not sell Pinterest API data, use it to build advertising profiles, or share it with unrelated third parties.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal information to perform a contract or provide a service you requested, based on your consent, to comply with law, or for legitimate interests such as operating and securing our business when those interests are not overridden by your rights.

5. When we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • to hosting, infrastructure, security and other service providers working for us under appropriate obligations;
  • to Pinterest when needed to complete an action you requested through the Pinterest integration;
  • when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety and security;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Pinterest authorization and control

Pinterest access is based on the permissions you grant through Pinterest's authorization process. You can revoke an integration from your Pinterest account settings. Revocation prevents future API access but may not automatically delete information already retained for a permitted purpose.

To request deletion of Pinterest information held by Schieber Research, email hamutal@researchci.com with the subject line "Pinterest Data Request." We may need to verify your identity or authority over the relevant account before completing the request.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing requested services, maintaining appropriate business records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and meeting legal obligations. OAuth tokens are retained only while needed to provide the authorized integration and are deleted or disabled when access is revoked, the integration is disconnected, or the token is no longer required, subject to limited legal or security retention needs.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; or to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to a data protection authority.

To make a request, email hamutal@researchci.com. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for business audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

11. Third-party services and links

The site links to services such as Pinterest, LinkedIn, Amazon and The Joy Dividend. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Website fonts and other content delivered by third-party providers may cause your browser to send those providers standard connection information.

12. International transfers

Schieber Research operates in the United States. If you access the site or services from another country, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, integrations or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
